Our signature blend! Organic, Fairtrade coffee and cacao from the "Campesinos Unidos" in Chiapas, and the famous "cacao route" in Tabasco-Chiapas. Hints of caramel, vanilla and nuts in the coffee balance perfectly with this world-famous delicate cacao grown from Mexico's historic native cacao trees. Great as a hot drink or "cold brew". GMO free, 340g bag.
Coffee and cacao can be medium ground and mixed. Cacao is lightly roasted to preserve its special compounds and fats. Start with a medium roast coffee and make the roast lighter or darker to suit your taste. AKNA’s Coffee-Cacao Blend starts with a medium roast, medium grind blend. The brew as “black” will be a rich darker than coffee colour with the healthy cacao fats noticeable in the brew. Both roast coffee and roast cacao can be a subtle blend “tea-like” on the light roast end of the spectrum. You should get some earthy, fruity, nutty tones in there. If you find sediment in the bottom of your cup, this is a sign of authenticity (processed cocoa does not leave any sediment).
I just made some in a tiny moka pot and it was delicious! Whenever I have a bit of extra money, I will be ordering more of that, and some of the Mexican coffee. I'm also planning to make some cookies with the cacao nibs. Thank you so much!

This does not taste like flavoured coffee for beginners. It tastes like gourmet, high quality coffee with a suggestion of chocolate just like a good scotch might suggest a bitter almond flavour, orange peel, dark chocolate, etc.... I used a stovetop espresso maker and it was simply delicious!
Wow!
I love Coffee.

(natural chocolate flavor) Great way to start my day!
